Jeffrey L. Davis Joins Board of the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art

WILMINGTON, N.C., April 1, 2002 — The Institute, associated with the prestigious New York Academy of Art, provides educational programs for in-depth instruction in the classicism of design, decoration, construction, and preservation of architecture.  The Institute provides current and future members a chance to receive advance training in classical building, in both its technical and artistic dimensions.

The Institute of Classical Architecture & Art operates under the aegis of the New York Academy of Art, a school founded in 1982 by a group of painters, sculptors, critics, scholars, and collectors committed to the advancement of fine arts education

WILMINGTON, N.C., January 1, 2002 — Chadsworth’s 1.800.COLUMNS has captured the No. 1 spot in the Columns Category for the fourth year in Professional Builder’s nationwide survey.  The magazine surveys over 20,000 builders annually to determine the brand of building materials, supplies and services they prefer and once again they have chosen Chadsworth as the Number 1 Column.

“There are only 125 Brand Leaders, says Professional Builder’s Editor Jay McKenzie, “and Chadsworth’s 1.800.COLUMNS is at the top of this very elite group”.

Approaching its 15th year in business, Chadsworth’s 1.800.COLUMNS’ success is attributed mainly to Mr. Jeff Davis, the company’s Founder and Principal Designer.  Mr. Davis saw the potential in the marketplace, and fifteen years ago, he borrowed against his parents’ modest home, and started the company.  Chadsworth is still run as a family business today.  In 1992 the company reached into the international market by adding an office in London.  In 1996 Mr. Davis changed the name of the company to Chadsworth’s 1.800.COLUMNS, after maneuvering wisely and buying the number from a Canadian company.  The latest coup was obtaining the internet designation http://www.columns.com domain to go along with Jeff’s philosophy that “we must make it easy for people to get in touch with us”.
