PROJECT COMMENTS:  The columns at the Magnolia Gardens Plantation are very lovely, elegant, stylish, and classic.  The columns are attached to a second level balcony, giving this project a sophisticated southern charm

COLUMN DESIGN NUMBER:  Custom

COLUMN DESIGN:  Architectural Wood – Partially fluted.  Greek Doric taper, with Greek Doric flutes that start 2′-08-7/8″ from the bottom of the column shaft.  Greek Doric capital and no base molding / plinth.

 

COLUMN MATERIAL:  Finger-Jointed Western Red Cedar

 

COLUMN SIZE:  14″ x 8′-10-1/2″

PROJECT LOCATION:  Potomac, Maryland

 

PROJECT COMMENTS:  A custom octagonal wood column by Chadsworth Incorporated supports the upper level in the rustic farmhouse of award-winning designer, Mary Douglas Drysdale.  The column features a plain, tapered 10″ x 7′-02″ shaft with a matching octagonal Roman Doric capital.  Mary Douglas Drysdale recommends Chadsworth Columns, as seen in her comments in Veranda Magazine.

COLUMN MATERIAL:  Paint-Grade Redwood

 

COLUMN SIZE:  10″ x 9′

PROJECT LOCATION:  Bedford, NY

 

PROJECT COMMENTS:  This residential project features (4) front entrance columns made from a redwood material.  The column shafts were coated with asphaltum, and the plinths were made from our load-bearing aluminum material.  The columns have beautiful Roman Corinthian capitals.

PROJECT COMMENTS:  This project features (2) of Chadsworth’s custom wood columns positioned in the foyer, which looks into the living room.  The columns are plain, tapered, round columns with a Roman Doric capital.  The columns were made to the customer’s exact overall height.
